Update: due to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated trail closures, park closures, and stay-at-home orders, I have returned home from the trail to wait this out. I plan to return to the trail once things open back up.
Right now I'm attempting a northbound (NOBO) 2,190-mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail from Springer Mountain, GA, to Katahdin, ME. I have dreamed of thru-hiking the AT since I was a teenager when I would spend a week on the trail every summer. With the Army behind me and law school in front of me, I only have about 120 days to make it happen - the average thru-hike takes six months. This will also be a photography project, and when I'm done I will publish an album with my photos. Here's how you can join in on the adventure:
